Argeros tossed a two-hitter and led Tennent past host Neshaminy, 3-0, in a nonleague game.
Argeros went the distance for the Panthers (3-4 league, 4-5 overall), struck out seven, and walked two. Nat Hamlin helped power Tennent's offense with a double.
Public. Jose Fortin ripped an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning and handed Nueva Esperanza a 5-4 win over visiting Engineering & Science.
Christian Ortiz hit a pair of doubles for Nueva.
Catholic North. Brian O'Grady hit a double and drove in two runs as Archbishop Wood held off visiting Bishop McDevitt, 8-7.
Jim Heilman also knocked in two runs for the Vikings.

Steve Stout scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning and handed Father Judge a 4-3 win over visiting La Salle.
Ryan Kreider helped the Crusaders' comeback by hitting a two-run double in the seventh inning.
Kevin McGovern pitched a two-hitter and boosted Archbishop Ryan to a 3-0 win over visiting Conwell-Egan.
McGovern struck out eight and walked two for the Raiders, who got two singles and a run scored from Andrew Lacovaro.
Catholic South. Jon Yuravage hit a two-run homer to give Cardinal O'Hara some breathing room in the sixth inning, and the Lions held off visiting Monsignor Bonner, 4-1, to pull into a first-place tie with the Friars at 7-2.
Yuravage pitched 62/3 innings and gave up one unearned run on six hits with five strikeouts and three walks. His homer finished out the scoring.
Suburban One National. Chris Greenwood pitched four innings and struck out eight to help last-place North Penn upset visiting Harry S Truman, 10-8. The Tigers lead the division.
Nick Carty hit a triple and Matt Quinn added a double for the Knights.
Suburban One Continental. John Gyles helped his own cause with a home run and led Central Bucks West past visiting Council Rock South, 11-1.
Gyles also hit a single, drove in three runs, and walked twice. He also got the win on the mound after pitching six innings, striking out six, and walking three.
Tri-County. Kevin McCardell struck out 13 and held Akiba Hebrew to four hits in a 9-0 win for visiting West-Mont Christian.
John Hane led the Wings on offense with a double, two singles, and two runs batted in.
Softball
Nzinga Kantamanto's name might be hard to pronounce, but it was a household one for
Southern
yesterday afternoon at 11th and Bigler in South Philadelphia.
Kantamanto pitched all five innings to earn a 21-11 Public League win over visiting Bartram and added a double and a triple to the Rams' impressive output.
Kantamanto finished her day 3 for 4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. The Rams, perhaps inspired by the major-league team that plays its home games two blocks away, also executed a triple play in the second inning.
In other league games:
Shayonna Washington went 5 for 5 with six RBIs to lead host Communications Tech to a 26-4 pounding of visiting Parkway. Washington hit a triple and a home run and added three singles - finishing a double short of the cycle.
Justine Pearson's speed gave host Lincoln a 14-13 win over Washington. Pearson scored the winning run on a wild throw after stealing both second and third base.
Catholic South. Brittany Racek's two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning produced the tying and winning runs for host Little Flower in a 3-2 win over Archbishop Prendergast.
Maggie Reifsnyder pitched a five-hitter to earn the win. She helped herself on the offensive end by going 2 for 3 with a double.
Pioneer Athletic. Kelsey Shultz pitched a two-hitter for host Owen J. Roberts and earned a school record for career wins with 25 in a 4-0 win over visiting Spring-Ford. The record of 24 was set by 2005 grad Kelsey Ferguson.
Nonleague. Nicole Spina and Kate McCusker combined for a no-hitter as host Cardinal O'Hara overwhelmed Shipley, 11-0, in a battle between two of the better teams in the Catholic and Friends Schools Leagues. Spina pitched the first four innings, and McCusker finished up with a 1-2-3 fifth inning.
Gina Murray hit two home runs for host Sun Valley in a 13-12 win over Bishop Shanahan.
