W. Deptford shuts out Gateway, 6-0

Steve Jakubowski hit a three-run homer, Tim Wentz and Jake Leise added homers, and Scott Renauro went 4 for 4.

Also in the Colonial, Collingswood junior Tim Kerr struck out four, walked five, and pitched a 13-0 five-inning no-hitter at Woodbury. A.J. Calderone and Sam Robinson drove in five runs apiece.

Olympic. Mike Piccioni's four hits combined with Nigel Shockley's three hits and three RBIs to give Triton its fourth straight win, a 16-7 surprise over visiting Washington Township.

Tri-County. Nicco Esgro's two-run, two-out triple in the sixth inning was the game-winning hit for Glassboro in a 4-3 success against visiting Overbrook.

Senior lefty Sam Hamilton of Gloucester Catholic fashioned a 10-0 five-inning no-hitter against visiting Schalick.

Cape-Atlantic. Brandon Krementz hit a three-run homer in the third inning and a two-run homer in the fourth, and also handled the pitching for Buena in a 14-3 win at St. Joseph.

Softball

The Tri-County Conference Diamond Division title race just got very interesting.

Stephanie Pacitti singled home two runs as Schalick pulled off a 3-2 home win over previously undefeated Gloucester Catholic.

The Rams (4-1 overall, 3-1 Diamond) fell back to the pack, while Schalick (3-4, 2-2) moved into title contention.

Christine Fleming held the Rams to four hits, including a homer by Nicole Hagerty.

Gloucester rattled off its 12th straight victory with a 9-1 triumph over visiting Gloucester County Tech. Jill Stafford and Taylor Chain combined on a one-hitter for the Lions.

Jenn Metzger rang up 11 strikeouts en route to a two-hitter as Overbrook pinned a 4-2 loss on visiting Glassboro.

Burlington County. Junior Hillary Allen twirled a perfect game with 10 strikeouts as Bordentown beat visiting Burlington Township, 13-0.

Cape-Atlantic. Nicole Pagano threw an 11-strikeout, no-hitter - St. Joseph's fifth no-hitter in seven games - as the Wildcats knocked off host Buena, 5-0.
