Northeast's Evans to choose

Sean Evans, a 6-foot-7 basketball forward from Northeast High, will announce his college of choice at a news conference at 10 a.m. Monday.

An honorable-mention all-Southeastern Pennsylvania selection by The Inquirer, Evans has narrowed his list down to La Salle, St. Bonaventure, St. John's, Nebraska and Miami.

Evans was also an impressive two-way football player for the Vikings, earning first-team honors from The Inquirer as a defensive end.
