Phoenixville's top-seeded pair of Kyle MacLelland and Tom McAvoy made it to the final, thanks to a pair of straight-set wins in the third round and semifinals.

The two beat Will Goodale and John Gladfelter of Octorara, 6-2, 6-2 and then handled Harriton's Andrew Wulu and Gary Broderson, 6-2, 6-0, in the semifinal.

The other semifinal will be an all-Lower Moreland matchup between Drew Hoffman-Phil Lieberman and Adam Lyons-Pat Rounick this afternoon at 12:30. Those two teams will play for the right to play the Phoenixville pair, also scheduled for today.

Class AAA. Also at the Healthplex, the larger draw of players dictated that only early rounds three were completed. Lower Merion's top-seeded pair of Matt Savran and Brendon Savran advanced with a bye and a third-round win over David Goldenberg and Mike Collilouri of Methacton, 6-0, 6-4.

The Pioneers hit both of their home runs in the fourth inning and built a big lead before holding on for an 11-9 win.

Anthony Venafro and Brandon Henson hit homers in the fourth inning as GAMP built a 9-3 lead. Saul made things interesting in the final inning, scoring twice, before the Jon Sheridan put out a threat to earn the win on the mound.

In other league games:

Alexis Lajara's sixth-inning single broke a tie and gave host Edison an 11-10 win over Washington. Teammate Javier LaFuente went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, including a double and a triple.

Chris Torres pitched a four-hitter for host Kensington in its 8-3 win over Bok. Torres struck out 10 and walked two.

Mike Bariana's seventh-inning single broke a tie and gave Prep Charter a 10-9 win at Franklin Towne Charter, clinching the league's B Division for the Wolves.

Tim Freiling and Brian Susten each hit a pair of three-run homers for host Northeast in a 22-7 win over Lincoln. The Vikings (10-4) pounded out 21 hits, including three doubles by Julius Spann.

Micah Winterstein pitched three innings and his Central teammates built a six-run lead for him in a 12-6 win over visiting Frankford. Zack King paced the Lancers' offense, going 2 for 4 with a double.

Inter-Ac. Anthony Cafagna struck out 12 as Chestnut Hill won at Haverford School, 5-4, and clinched a title tie. Jon McAllister scored three of the Blue Devils' runs.

Phil Gosselin, Chris Cowell and Matt Allen had three hits apiece for host Malvern Prep in a 14-9 win over Episcopal Academy. Rich Kazigian pitched four innings to earn the win.

Bicentennial. Gary Mitchell's two-run homer highlighted an 11-run first inning for host Lower Moreland in a 17-2 win over Calvary Christian. Mitchell finished 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Lions (15-1, 10-1).

Suburban One American. Mike Koons pitched a six-hitter as Methacton won at Quakertown, 9-2. Teammate Matt Bruno provided most of the hitting support, going 3 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs.

Nonleague. Cody Derby went the distance, pitching seven innings, to lead Garnet Valley to a 6-2 win at Penncrest. Kyle McGee, the No. 2 hitter, drove in three runs.
