Johnson, Jones carry Eagles past Chargers
The pair accounted for four touchdowns as Winslow Township improved to 5-0.

The Winslow Township football team is on a mission, and that is not good news for future opponents.
The Eagles have championship aspirations, and they approached yesterday afternoon's matchup with Burlco/Olympic Conference rival Timber Creek as a playoff game. The game was close early, but the Eagles' offense exploded in the second half in a 33-14 win.
Brandon Jones hauled in a pair of touchdown passes and Reuban Johnson scored on two touchdown runs as the Eagles, ranked No. 4 in South Jersey by The Inquirer, improved to 5-0.
"Every week we work hard on developing chemistry in the passing game," Winslow quarterback Ka'Lial Glaud said. "We have more of a balanced attack now. We have very good receivers and talented backs."
Although the offense clicked, Winslow's defense set the tone in the second half against a tiring Chargers squad.
"That was fun," Winslow coach Mike McBride said. "That was playoff football. We are just working on being able to be consistent in the running game. It's getting better but still not where we need to be."
The teams traded first-quarter scores, with Johnson tallying on a 5-yard run for the Eagles with 4 minutes, 13 seconds remaining. Eddie Roberts took a swing pass and bulled his way in from 32 yards to answer for the Chargers.
Glaud found Jones streaking down the left side for a 68-yard touchdown on Winslow's first snap of the second quarter.
Neither team could sustain an offensive drive for the remainder of the quarter as the Eagles took a 14-7 lead into halftime.
Winslow needed just six plays to post 19 third-quarter points - ending any doubt about the outcome.
Johnson scored on a 30-yard, first-down scamper with 6:38 left in the third. The Eagles then moved 41 yards in four plays, capped by a 9-yard scoring jaunt by Keith Robinson with 4:01 left in the stanza. Glaud, who finished 8 for 15 passing for 142 yards, closed out the scoring by finding Jones open on a 20-yard pass-run play with 1:49 to go in the quarter.
Jones, a senior, snared 11 receptions for 108 yards.
"We are a second-half team, and with the score 14-7, the kids just dug deeper and got the job done," McBride said.
Robinson led Winslow's ground game with 83 yards on 14 carries. Johnson added 65 yards on 12 rushes.
Julian Laing rushed 17 times for 69 yards and a late touchdown for Timber Creek (3-1).
"Typically, they come out and try to shock you with play action," Timber Creek coach Rob Hinson said of Winslow. "Today, they went up top and changed it up a bit. In the past, we have been a front-running team. When things went against us, we didn't respond well. Our guys are improving. We didn't back down, and we really competed well."
