Bristol gains a tie for the Bicentennial League crown
Woodrow Vortors' latest show resulted in a championship for Bristol's football team. Or at least a championship of sorts. Vortors scored four touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 27-7 Bicentennial League win at Calvary Christian, clinching at least a tie for the league title.

Vorters, who scored seven touchdowns a week ago, scored on runs of 47 and 67 yards in the first half for a 14-0 lead for the Warriors (6-2, 3-0).
After Brian Murray got the Cougars (4-4, 1-1) on the board with a 3-yard run to cut the lead to 14-7, Vorters scored on a 36-yard interception return and a 33-yard run to put the game away.
Ches-Mont League
Ryan Dicce's 25-yard field goal in overtime gave Kennett its first win in the league, 17-14, at Sun Valley. David Dicce, Ryan's brother, scored on a 65-yard fumble recovery in the third quarter for the Demons (2-6, 1-3).
Public League
Martin Luther King used a Lamont Prophet 81-yard kickoff return for the first of three fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 31-20 win over Fels in a game played at Northeast High.
The Cougars (3-4 overall, 3-3 league) then tacked on runs of 2 yards and 1 yard by Kyeem Coleman and Larry Adams.
It was a big day for the King special teams; Prophet's kickoff return was the second of the day for the Cougars, whose Coleman scored on a 92-yard kickoff return in the first quarter to cut the Fels' lead to 8-6.
Kadem Brown had 11 tackles for the Cougars.
Joseph Montouth, who scored on a 24-yard run, led the Cougars with 129 yards from the line of scrimmage.
Going into the fourth quarter with a 16-12, Fels looked as if it would pick up its first win of the season. That appeared even more certain after Malik Jackson caught his second touchdown pass from Tyriq Smith for a 22-12 lead.
That's when Prophet's kickoff return jump-started the Cougars. Fels fell to 0-7, 0-5.
Washington 8, Dobbins 7 - The visiting Eagles (7-1, 4-0) survived a scare by the Mustangs, scoring on a 50-yard pass from Clinton Granger to Andrew Goodman near the end of the first quarter. A Devin Wallace pass to Damien Wilmer for a two-point conversion produced the winning points.
The Mustangs (2-6, 0-4) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Anthony Walker's 65-yard punt return and Toyre Fredericks' extra point.
Lincoln 35, Edison 0 - The Railsplitters used a ballhawking defense and Kevin Chilton's rushing to coast to the win.
Chilton, who finished with 120 yards, scored on runs of 33 and 10 yards.
Central 26, Germantown 20 - Ray Harris finished with 97 yards on nine carries as the host Lancers (4-3, 2-2) held off the Bears (0-8, 0-4). Germantown was led by Carl King, who scored three touchdowns and gained 127 yards on 20 carries. The Bears got a pair of touchdown passes from Ramanda Abdullah, both to Jarell McClerndon.
Roxborough 7, Simon Gratz 6 - Adrese Hicks scored on a 65-yard punt return and Grant Graham's extra point proved to be the difference for the visiting Indians (4-4, 2-2).
Gratz threatened to take the lead with 2 minutes and 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter when Jamil Herrings recovered a fumble in the end zone, but a swarming tackle on a two-point conversion run saved the game for the Indians. Amir Boler, Joell Hilton and Shaim Reed were all in on the tackle.
Catholic League
Ryan Sejda found Ronell Fairel for a pair of touchdown passes as host Kennedy-Kenrick blanked Neumann-Goretti, 21-0, in a Blue Division game.
The Wolverines (5-3 overall, 2-3 league) led, 14-0, at halftime on the strength of those two passes. Chris Schadle added a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
The Saints fell to 1-7, 1-4.
Inter-Ac League
Reed Marko scored on a 79-yard run on the second half's first play from scrimmage to give host Germantown Academy a 14-10 win over Episcopal Academy.
Marko helped preserve the win for the Patriots (3-3, 1-1) with an interception late in the fourth quarter.
Malvern Prep 41, Haverford School 0 - The host Friars (6-0, 2-0) got three touchdowns from Neil Willis.
Suburban One American
In a battle of 1-3 teams in the conference, host Upper Moreland scored 21 unanswered points to earn a 21-13 win over Methacton.
Mike Rosenbaum tossed a pair of touchdown passes for the Golden Bears (3-4, 2-3), one covering 4 yards to Blaze Wasserleben and another of 37 yards to John Eberly. Dylan Wenick hit all three of his extra-point tries for Upper Moreland.
Mike Koons and Steve Capizzi scored on touchdown runs for the Warriors (3-5, 1-4).
Wasserleben came into the game with some gaudy receiving statistics, having caught 24 passes for 402 yards.
Pioneer Athletic
David Tyler scored on runs of 26 and 20 yards and Trevor Sasek added a 1-yard touchdown run as Spring-Ford built and early lead and coasted to a 27-14 win at Pottstown.
The Rams (4-4, 4-2) led, 21-0, at the half. The Trojans cut into that lead with a 14-yard run by Kenny Baker and a 12-yard pass from Jim Cassel to Andre Brown, but the Rams put the game away with a Sasak to Jammel Lowman 65-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
Nonleague
Brian Potts tossed a pair of touchdown passes as host Caravel Academy (Del.) swamped Jenkintown, 54-18.
