Area's best: All-S.E. Pa. Boys' Soccer Team

FIRST TEAM FORWARDS Joe Sales, Downingtown, junior. The all-Ches-Mont National Division selection scored a team-leading 27 goals. Five of those goals came during the PIAA Class AAA state playoffs.

The all-Ches-Mont National Division selection scored a team-leading 27 goals. Five of those goals came during the PIAA Class AAA state playoffs.

Wayne Maminski, Father Judge, senior.

The Inquirer's player of the year set school single-season records for goals scored (29) and assists (14). The four-year starter has orally committed to play at Lafayette College.

Jordan Obrant, Lower Merion, junior.

A versatile standout, Obrant played every position but goalkeeper. The three-year starter had 12 goals and four assists.

MIDFIELDERS

Cody Antonini, Neshaminy, senior.

The Suburban One National Division MVP finished with 36 goals and 14 assists. He also garnered National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas all-Region II (East Coast) and Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association all-state honors.

Greg Robbins, Lower Merion, junior.

The 6-foot-5 standout finished with 11 goals and 11 assists en route to being named Central League MVP. The three-year starter also garnered NSCAA all-Region II and PSCA all-state honors.

Tom Kalpokas, North Catholic, senior.

Kalpokas finished the season with 33 goals and 15 assists. The four-year starter, who was an all-Catholic selection, played forward, midfielder and defender depending on the circumstances.

Sean Peckham, Central Bucks East, junior.

Peckham may have been the most consistent player in Southeastern Pennsylvania. He finished with 15 goals and 13 assists to garner NSCAA all-Region II and PSCA all-state honors.

DEFENDERS

Brian Forgue, Downingtown West, junior.

Anchoring a stingy back line, Forgue garnered NSCAA all-America honors. The second-year starter, who finished with four goals and eight assists, was the Chest-Mont League Northern Division MVP. He also was chosen to NSCAA all-Region II and PSCA all-state teams.

Mark Fetrow, West Chester Henderson, senior.

A dominant central defender, Fetrow was an all-Ches-Mont Northern Division selection. A formidable attacker from the back line, he finished with four goals and four assists.

Tommy Smart, La Salle, senior.

The all-Catholic selection anchored a back line that surrendered just 15 goals this season. He consistently denied the best opposing forwards scoring opportunities.

Goalkeeper

Jake Pickering, Central Bucks East, junior.

The all-Suburban One Continental Division selection recorded 12 consecutive shutouts and 19 overall this season. He yielded just 12 goals the entire season.
