Pennsbury boys fall in title game, 63-57

Pepper, who had 29 points and nine rebounds for the Falcons (12-1), tied the game at 53-53 with 22 seconds to go with an NBA-range three-pointer.

After Putnam's Tyler Earls hit a trey with eight seconds left, Pepper launched a 27-footer at the buzzer to force overtime.

In overtime, Putnam City (9-1) used a 7-1 advantage to get the win. Xavier Henry, Putnam's nationally regarded junior, scored 26 of his 37 points after halftime, and also finished with 11 rebounds and three steals.

In the fifth-place game of the eight-team Cape Ferry bracket,

whipped

Woodbridge

(Del.), 78-52. The Aces, who had 44 points in the paint, were led by Greg Robbins' 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Carl Johnson's 21 points, six steals and five assists.

Germantown Academy

won the consolation bracket at Naples, Fla. with a 62-41 triumph over

Buchholz

(Fla.). Tim McCarty scored 16 points and Cameron Ayers added 12 for the Patriots.
