Three of harness racing's best female pacers will meet in Sunday's $250,000 Betsy Ross Stakes at Harrah's Chester racetrack.
Southwind Tempo, My Little Dragon and Darlin's Delight are all millionaires, and each has won a Dan Patch Award.
Southwind Tempo was the 2007 3-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year, an honor earned by Darlin's Delight the previous season. My Little Dragon was the 2-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year in 2005.
John Campbell, harness racing's top driver in career purse earnings with more than $252 million, will drive Southwind Tempo. Southwind Tempo, trained by Kevin Lare, has won four of five races this year and 23 of 29 in her career.
Southwind Tempo was the centerpiece of a three-horse, $1 million deal that put her in the ownership of Jerry Silva in February.
Darlin's Delight will be driven by Yannick Gingras. A victory would push her lifetime earnings to more than $2 million for trainer Jeff Stafford and her owner, White Birch Farm.
Brian Sears will drive My Little Dragon. She is trained by Noel Daley and owned by the Adam Victor & Son Stable.
Street Dancer, Illusionist, Benear, Symphony In Motion, and Life Of Luxury are in the remainder of the field. The first-race post time will be 12:25 p.m.; the Betsy Ross is the 10th race.
