The Central Buck West girls' soccer team will face a familiar foe in tonight's PIAA Class AAA girls' state soccer championship.

The Bucks will take on District 3's Central Dauphin at 7 p.m. at HersheyPark Stadium. The teams were declared cochampions after playing to a 2-2 draw in last season's state final. Tonight's matchup is expected to be just as competitive.

Central Bucks West (20-4-2) is chasing its third consecutive and an unprecedented eighth spring title. So dominant, the Bucks have a career record of 26-1-1 in the state playoffs.

In the Rams, Central Bucks West faces a team that was ranked 11th nationally in the latest NSCAA/adidas spring poll. Central Dauphin (22-2-0) is making its second trip to the state final.

The Rams advanced by taking a 2-1 overtime victory over Wilson in Tuesday's semifinal round. The game-winning goal came on a header by Allye Landis in the 48th minute.

The Bucks also needed extra time to advance Tuesday night. Sam Moyer's goal in the 42d minute clinched a 1-0 overtime semifinal victory over Lower Dauphin.

In the Class AA final, District 3 foes Fleetwood and Lancaster Mennonite will play at noon.
