Goaltenders Lauren Cicatiello of Washington Township and host Eastern's Kaitlyn Hertz carried the play for the first 70 minutes of yesterday's Olympic Conference girls' soccer match.

Then things got offensive.

The teams combined for four goals in an eight-minute span, capped by Sidney Cetrullo's game-winning score with two minutes remaining in regulation as Eastern prevailed, 3-2.

The Vikings' Deana Wood beat Cicatiello (six saves) to open the scoring two minutes into the second half. Shawna Wert slipped a shot past Hertz (10 saves) to pull Township even with 10 minutes left, but a minute later Eastern went back on top with Cetrullo converting a pass from Wood.

The Minutemaids tied it again, on a goal by Amanda Ward with three minutes to go, but Cetrullo's score 60 seconds later allowed the Vikings to avenge their 3-0 loss to Township on Sept. 19.

Jordan Bell's goal midway through the opening half and solid goaltending by Melissa Bishop (four saves) helped visiting Holy Cross hand Patriot Division-leading Palmyra its first loss, 1-0. Panthers keeper Sam Greenwood turned aside 15 shots.

A hat trick by Taylor Lewis was more than enough for Willingboro, which solidified its Freedom Division lead with a 5-0 romp at Medford Tech.
