Basketball season may be in full swing this week, but that doesn't mean that football is over. Far from it.

Two local teams - West Catholic and Archbishop Wood - will strap the pads on for one last game this weekend. And The Inquirer will preview the games Friday and Saturday with columns, articles, statistics and more. Here is what's on tap:

West Catholic, the 14-1 champions of the Catholic League and District 12, takes on District 10's Wilmington for the PIAA Class AA championship on Saturday at 1 at HersheyPark Stadium in Hershey.

Archbishop Wood, riding a nine-game winning streak, is set to play defending state champion Thomas Jefferson in the Class AAA championship game Friday night at 7 in Hershey.

Led by quarterback Curtis Drake and halfbacks Rob Hollomon and Raymond Maples, the West Catholic Burrs are looking to improve their ranking in The Inquirer's Southeastern Pennsylvania top 10. They are ranked No. 3.

The 12-2 Wood Vikings, ranked 10th by The Inquirer, are led by quarterback Sean McCartney and running back Sean Cunningham.

Cunningham's 162 points puts him among the area's scoring leaders.
