Collingswood to honor athletes

Collingswood High School will induct the newest members of its Athletic Hall of Fame at an awards dinner March 21.

Collingswood High School will induct the newest members of its Athletic Hall of Fame at an awards dinner March 21.

Members of the 1963 boys' basketball team will be among the inductees at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Route 70 in Cherry Hill. More information can be obtained by writing to Box 512, Collingswood, N.J. 08108.

Sue Rudderow Murphy, Class of 1974, will be honored as a coach; Patricia Fallon Banduck, Class of '59, will be honored for meritorious service; and Marvin Hume, Class of '38, will be honored for community service.

David Wilson, Class of '55, will receive the lifetime achievement award.

Athletes to be inducted are:

William Rogers, Class of '57; Sandy LeDonne Berner, Class of '58; John Grimley, Class of '62; Margaret Ann Carter Lacovara, Class of '67.

Nancy Hunt Mazoni, Class of '75; Justin Frank, Class of '79; and Craig Schuehler and Danielle Dayton, Class of '89.

Six athletes who made all-South Jersey teams in the 1930s will be posthumously inducted: George Watson and Bill Denise, Class of '32; Bob Smith, Class of '33; Sid Schwein and Charles Bradley, Class of '34; and Guy Vance, Class of '39.
