Didra to coach Pennridge softball team

Scott Didra has been named head softball coach at Pennridge. He is a former head coach at Emmaus, William Allen and Catasauqua High Schools, and his 1993 Emmaus team won the PIAA District 11 championship and advanced to the state semifinals.

Scott Didra has been named head softball coach at Pennridge.

He is a former head coach at Emmaus, William Allen and Catasauqua High Schools, and his 1993 Emmaus team won the PIAA District 11 championship and advanced to the state semifinals.

Didra has 30 years of experience as an assistant and head high school coach, as a youth softball coach, running clinics, and as a softball player. He has coached at the high school level for 17 seasons, 12 as a head coach.

"We are confident that his extensive experience at the high school level . . . will make him an asset," athletic director Jeff Derstine said in a statement.
