For the second straight year, Inquirer staff writer Keith Pompey has been named media person of the year by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association.

According to the association, the award is presented to "an individual or media organization who has done the most during the year to promote and publicize soccer at the scholastic level through the respective medium."

Said association spokesman Joe Tatta, "Keith has done more to publicize scholastic soccer than anyone that I know in the 50 years I have been around this area."

Pompey has been on the staff of The Inquirer since 2004.
