Haddon Township's Mulligan notches his 300th victory

Haddon Township girls' basketball coach Tom Mulligan celebrated his 300th victory yesterday, when the Hawks edged Collingswood, 45-42, to claim third place in the Clearview Pioneer Tournament.

Haddon Township girls' basketball coach Tom Mulligan celebrated his 300th victory yesterday, when the Hawks edged Collingswood, 45-42, to claim third place in the Clearview Pioneer Tournament.

Maddie McComb totaled 16 points and a dozen rebounds and Sara DeCinque dealt eight assists for Township, while Nadira Robinson made three three-pointers in scoring 16 for the Panthers.

In the final, Kiley Grabbe scored 16 and tourney most valuable player Mel Mahan added 13 points to lead host Clearview over Triton, 47-24.

Boardwalk Cup. Carly Strickland shot 11 for 13 from the line in scoring 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Seneca, which claimed the championship for the second year in a row by routing Vineland, 57-42, in Wildwood.

Chelsea Grover added 16 points, nine rebounds and six blocks for the Golden Eagles.

Moorestown Tournament. Amanda Offenbach's putback capped her 13-point effort and allowed Holy Cross to hold off Haddonfield, 34-33, in a semifinal.

Host Moorestown rode 20 points by Charlotte Fuller to a 55-41 semifinal win over West Windsor-Plainsboro South.

Eastern Viking Tournament. Jackie Schluth picked up 12 of her game-high 22 points in the second quarter - allowing Bishop Eustace to pull away from Willingboro, 54-41, in a semifinal.

Audubon Tournament. Erin Fitzpatrick tossed in 16 points for Cinnaminson, which took command of the semifinal at the outset with a 24-7 lead, and the Pirates didn't look back in sinking Moorestown Friends, 58-33.

Maple Shade Tournament. Samantha Chicon (12 points) nailed a pair of free throws with 7 seconds left to make host Maple Shade a 38-36 winner over Woodbury.

Angela Anderson Classic. Sharele Anderson led the way with 26 points and 13 rebounds, Chavonne Shepherd contributed 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Valarie Perretti came through with 11 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals as host Clayton clobbered Cape May Tech, 61-37.

Boys' Basketball

Isiah Dixon collected 10 points and 11 rebounds for Lenape, which opened overtime with an 8-0 spurt and went on to defeat Middle Township, 37-29, in the championship of the Jay Craven Memorial bracket of the Boardwalk Classic in Wildwood.

Reds Jordan Classic. Chris Gebhart cleared 11 rebounds and scored 21, including eight in a 20-7 third-quarter run, allowing host Cherry Hill West to hold off Haddon Township, 51-47, in the title game. Tony Hawkins had a game-high 23 points for the Hawks.

Boardwalk Cup. Jack Dennehy's layup with 12 seconds left completed West Windsor-Plainsboro South's 45-44 come-from-behind victory over Timber Creek in the championship game. Mar'quis Jones had 14 points to lead the Chargers, who held a five-point lead with 3 minutes to go and saw a potential winning three-pointer bounce off the rim at the final buzzer.

Virginia Whitaker Invitational. Chris Ward (29 points, 11 rebounds) and Markeith Palmer (19 points, 11 rebounds) each hit four three-pointers for Sterling, which showcased a potent inside-outside attack in a 63-52 semifinal win over Moorestown.

Edgar Joyce Colt Classic. Derrick Carter (16 points) sank two free throws with 7 seconds left and Mike Trout registered team highs of 17 points and 13 rebounds, as Millville slipped past Penns Grove, 51-49, in a semifinal.

Michael Tucker Tournament. Anthony Perenti (16 points), Peter Bell (10) and Tony Devin (seven) combined to make five three-point baskets for Haddonfield in a 58-56 semifinal win over West Windsor-Plainsboro North.
