Morrisville boys win in overtime

Marcel Carr made a jumper and the front end of the one-and-one midway through overtime to give Morrisville a 51-49 Bicentennial League boys' basketball win at Phil-Mont Christian yesterday.

Carr finished with 18 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-11 overall, 2-4 league).

Haleem Hayward, a 6-foot-1 combination guard, had 10 points and eight rebounds for West Catholic in a 62-36 win over visiting Cardinal Dougherty.

Malik West's two free throws with 20.5 seconds left gave La Salle a 49-48 win at Father Judge.

Isaac Robinson broke a tie with a medium-range jumper with 14 seconds left to help host Conwell-Egan past Archbishop Wood, 50-47, avenging a 70-39 loss on Dec. 15.

Charles Bolger, a junior point guard, scored 18 points to lead host Interboro to a 62-36 win over Pennsville.

In Chicago, Shakerah Frye, a 5-6 forward, scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead University City to a 54-52 win over Roosevelt (Ind.) in the second day of the Martin Luther King Dream Classic.
