Rodriguez trailed Ryan Galen, 5-4, but rallied for a pin in 3 minutes, 7 seconds to give Edison a 37-31 win over host Washington in a semifinal encounter.
It's the first time the Owls have been in the playoffs in 10 years; they have not competed for the league title in 30 years. They will get the opportunity against Northeast on Wednesday.
Rodriguez's win was the fourth-straight by the Owls, bringing them back from a 31-16 deficit.
In the other semifinal, Emiliano Daga earned a technical fall at the buzzer and handed Northeast a 32-31 win over Olney.
Daga won his bout at 119 pounds, 17-1, to give the Vikings a 32-28 lead going into the final contest of the day.

Kyle Place earned a pair of victories for Hill School.
The Blues beat Academy of the New Church, 55-24, when Place pinned in 3 minutes, 7 seconds at 215 pounds. He also earned an 11-7 decision against St. Benedict's, but Hill fell, 45-29.
Boys' Basketball
Devon Shorter converted a 16-foot jumper at the buzzer and handed Philadelphia Academy Charter a 55-53 nonleague win over host Friends Select in overtime.
Erik Ortiz scored his only points of the game on a jumper with 4 seconds left in regulation to send the Chargers into overtime.
Teddy Goodman nailed a basket with 6 seconds left to give Perkiomen School a 46-44 win over visiting Valley Forge.
Goodman paced the Indians with 21 points.

Marcus Brown picked up the 1,000th point of his career for Engineering & Science, but the Engineers fell to visiting Ben Franklin, 40-37.
Brown needed 14 points to reach the milestone and hit 1,000 with a free throw. He finished the game with 1,002 points. Kenny Bey-Brown scored 17 points for the Electrons.

Mark Rhine stole the ball and went in for a basket to give Penn Charter a 58-56 win over visiting Episcopal Academy.
Rhine scored 22 points for the Quakers.
Suburban One National.
Corey Canestrare scored four-straight points in overtime and boosted Bensalem to a 50-47 overtime win over host Council Rock South.
Canestrare stole the ball, went in for a layup, then drained a pair of free throws to give the Owls a 49-45 lead. He scored 6 points.
Friends Schools.
Wes Bill (12 points) and Jason Symonette (6 points) each scored 4 points in overtime and handed Germantown Friends a 61-57 win over host Shipley.
Anton Popov added a career-high 23 points for the Tigers who clinched a playoff spot for only the second time in the last 8 years.

Chuck Paul (20 points) and Noah Thiemann (12 points) each hit a pair of free throws in the final 35 seconds to give West-Mont Christian a 52-50 win over visiting Woodlynde.
Swimming
Kyle Bonus won a pair of events and led Penn Charter to a 104-80 win over Episcopal Academy and its first-ever Inter-Ac League title.
Bonus won diving with a score of 200.50 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:37.52.
