Triton hall to induct nine

Triton will induct nine individuals and the 1973 football team into the school's athletic Hall of Fame at 1 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Paris Caterers Palace in Blackwood.

Triton will induct nine individuals and the 1973 football team into the school's athletic Hall of Fame at 1 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Paris Caterers Palace in Blackwood.

The 1973 football team went 7-2 and won the Olympic Conference championship. Here are the individual inductees.

Karyn Basso.

A member of the Class of 1991, Basso was a repeat all-star as a four-year player in soccer and softball.

Fran Dorando Strong

(1989). She lettered in four sports at Triton and was a college field hockey standout at Ohio State.

David Ingram

(1992). Ingram is the second all-time leading scorer in Triton basketball history.

Robert Jordan

(1992). Soccer was the best of the three sports in which Jordan excelled during his time at Triton.

Karen Klein

(1988). Klein will receive the service award for her faithful support for more than 20 years.

Kathy Koch MacKinnon

(1990). She earned 11 letters in three sports and was a multiple all-star selection.

William Mayer.

From 1970-2003, he coached various sports at Triton. Mayer's boys' tennis teams won five conference championships.

Michael McCarthy

(1978). Recognized as an all-South Jersey selection in baseball, McCarthy also enjoyed a stellar football career.

Albert Paolone.

A coach from 1958-72, he is known as the father of Triton wrestling. His teams won the first three Olympic Conference championships.
