The Falcons are regarded as the top Class AAAA team in the state, according to the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Two of their losses were to a national power, St. Patrick (N.J.).
2. Friends' Central (3) 22-1
The Phoenix will take a 15-game winning streak into today's Friends Schools League tournament semifinal against Germantown Friends at Friends' Central.
3. Neumann-Goretti (4) 20-2
The Saints are arguably the hottest boys' basketball team in Pennsylvania.
4. Chester (2) 19-3
The Clippers, the top seed in the District 1 Class AAAA tournament, dropped two places following Saturday's 47-44 setback against Camden Catholic.
5. Imhotep Charter (7) 21-1
The Panthers haven't lost since Dec. 6. Expect their winning streak to extend to 21 games with today's Public League Class AA quarterfinal against Freire Charter.
6. Lower Merion (9) 20-4
Once considered an afterthought, the Aces have won 19 of 20 games. Penn Wood and Conestoga (twice) are among their victims.
7. Penn Wood (6) 19-3
The Patriots are perhaps the one squad teams want to avoid in the District 1 Class AAAA tournament. They're extremely motivated.
8. Conestoga (5) 22-2
After starting the season 20-0, the Pioneers have lost two of their last four contests.
9. Archbishop Carroll (8) 20-2
The Patriots are the area's best Class AAA team not named Neumann-Goretti.
10. Plymouth Whitemarsh (NR) 19-3
The Colonials finished as cochampions of the Suburban One American Conference. It was their sixth straight title.
