The rest of the game added up to an 84-55 Imhotep Charter victory as the bench numbers favored the Panthers.

Imhotep played nine players throughout the game and overwhelmed a MC&S team which played mostly five.

Imhotep Charter outscored Math, Civics and Sciences, 18-10, in the second quarter and then went on a 23-15 third-quarter run to take charge. It was led by Will Adams, who scored 18 of his 27 points on three-point shots, and Sam Prescott, who added 21 points.

Imhotep Charter advances to the league final tomorrow night (8 p.m.) at the Liacouras Center against Franklin Learning Center.

At Ben Franklin, Denzel Yard scored 24 points to lead Franklin Learning Center past Southern, 57-49, in the other league semifinal. Yard scored eight of his points in the final quarter for the Bobcats (19-4).

District 1 Class AAA. In a first-round game, host Strath Haven got 23 points from senior guard Calvin Newell in a 54-30 win over Upper Moreland. The Panthers (12-11) also got 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots from junior center Jack Roberts.

Host Springfield (Delaware County) led the entire second half in a 56-50 win over Lower Moreland, the No. 10 seed. Adam Washington, a 6-foot-3 sophomore combination guard and forward, scored 21 points to lead the seventh-seeded Cougars, including two of his four three-pointers in the final quarter.

Junior center Evan Bauer scored all four of his points in overtime to give No. 9 Pottstown a 63-57 overtime win at No. 8 Octorara. Randall Purnell had 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Trojans.

Harriton, the No. 12 seed, pulled off an upset at No. 5 Upper Perkiomen, 49-46, behind Matt Fusaro's 22 points. The Rams are now 7-16.

Pa. Independent Schools. Hill School beat Chestnut Hill, 47-46, a quarterfinal playoff.

The host Blues got seven fourth-quarter points from Josh Heylinger and four overtime points from Nick Gore. Heylinger's 17 led Hill School and Gore added 12.

Gary Lawrence finished with 26 points to pace Chestnut Hill, including all five of its overtime points. CHA ended its season at 16-8.

Hill School's opponent in tomorrow's semifinal at Malvern Prep (8:30 p.m.) will be Germantown Academy, a 47-44 winner over Academy of the New Church in another quarterfinal.

Visiting ANC had no answer for Jeff Holton. The 6-foot-8 center bound for American University poured in 15 points to lead the Patriots (23-5).

Guard Austin Curry made all six of his free throws in the fourth quarter to keep Germantown Academy comfortably ahead.

Friends' Central placed three players in double figures, led by Devin Coleman's 15 points, in a 54-32 win over Haverford School.

DeQuann Walker scored all seven of his points in the final 1 minute, 27 seconds of the game to give host Malvern Prep a 32-21 win over Westtown. Lamon Church scored 11 points to lead the Friars.
