S. Jersey Boys: Dickson passes 1,000 points as Pitman prevails

Dickson had seven assists and 18 points in the game, and has 1,012 points in two seasons for the Panthers, who will play at Woodbury in tomorrow's semifinals. Dylan Colgate contributed 28 points and 15 rebounds to the win.

Also in Group 1, Woodbury upended visiting Paulsboro, 69-53, behind Brian Purnell's 13 rebounds, Isaiah Roberts' 18 points and 10 assists, and Marcus Davis' 12 points and four blocked shots.

Shaquille Butler tossed in five points in overtime after scoring just six in regulation, steering Burlington City to a 79-71 surprise at Palmyra.

Sixth-seeded City put five players in double figures, topped by Alphonso Bradford's 28 points with four three-pointers. Quron Pratt of third-seeded Palmyra hit five three's and matched Bradford for game scoring honors.

Derrick Parsley, a 6-foot-5 senior center, scored 17 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and blocked six shots as Salem ousted visiting Penns Grove, 57-47.

The Rams rallied from a nine-point second-quarter deficit behind Quayshun Morris' nine third-quarter points.

South Jersey Group 3. Shawnee converted 15 of 19 fourth-quarter foul shots and squeezed past visiting Timber Creek, 60-53.

The Renegades, who made 22 of 27 free throws in the game to Timber Creek's 8 of 17, got 18 points and five assists from Dillon Fields, 17 points from Joe Bodnar and six rebounds by Ben Sims.

Top-seeded Kingsway opened its postseason with a 57-45 triumph over visiting Lower Cape May.

The Dragons' Stephen Pigford contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds, Rondell Gilmore had 12 points and seven assists, and Tom Dickson chipped in with nine boards and five assists. Cape May's Brandon Pascucci (210) hit five three-pointers.

Pemberton will be Kingsway's next opponent after bouncing host Westampton Tech, 70-60. Ransom Eaves scored most of his 23 points on five three-pointers for the Hornets.

South Jersey Group 4. Eighth-seeded Washington Township defeated top-seeded Rancocas Valley, 61-57, in overtime. Rick Hudson led the visiting Minutemen with 27 points, including 10 of 12 foul shooting.

South Jersey Non-Public A. B.J. Bailey's 15 points topped four Holy Spirit players in double figures en route to a 60-45 quarterfinal win over visiting Notre Dame.

Bailey, a senior guard, had 13 points at intermission as the top-seeded Spartans built a 36-21 advantage. Preston Smith then added seven of his 12 points in the third period.

Central Jersey Group 1. Mark Przybylkowski saved eight of his 18 points for a 13-6 fourth-quarter run, and Kevin Janowski finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds as New Egypt advanced with a 54-44 quarterfinal win over visiting Keyport.
