Kingsway's Ley wins 2-miler in nationals

Kingsway's Chelsea Ley captured her second national title in three days, and the Washington Township boys' 4x800-meter relay quartet claimed its spot as the best in the country yesterday at the National Scholastic Indoor Track Championships at the New York City Armory.

Ley, a junior who won the 5,000 meters on Friday in the country's fastest time this season, added the two-mile title, winning in 10 minutes, 33.02 seconds.

The Minutemen foursome of Greg Krause, Xavier Fraction, Tim Carey and Brian Keane won the 4x800 in 7:51.43. Fraction, Carey, Keane and Devon Carter also won the sprint medley title on Friday.

Ice Hockey. Christian Brothers Academy beat Bishop Eustace, 4-1, in the semifinals of the Non-Public state ice hockey tournament.
