The Panthers expect to advance to their first state Class AA final when they meet Hughesville tomorrow in the semifinals.
2. Penn Wood (4) 26-4
Two seasons ago, the Patriots were a 12-win team. Now, they are one win away from the state Class AAAA final.
3. Archbishop Carroll (9) 25-3
The Patriots are proving that Carroll is more than a girls' basketball school. The Patriots face York Suburban tonight in the state Class AAA semifinals.
4. Neumann-Goretti (1) 26-3
The Saints, who had been the favorite to win the state Class AAA title, saw their season end with a heartbreaking quarterfinal loss to Carroll.
5. Friends' Central (5) 27-2
The Phoenix face Montrose Christian (Md.) on April 3 in the ESPN Rise National High School Invitational.
6. Plymouth Whitemarsh (9) 25-5
The Colonials will make their first state Class AAAA semifinal appearance since 1998 when they face William Penn tomorrow.
7. Norristown (3) 23-6
Khalif Wyatt concluded his career with 26 points in a state Class AAAA second-round loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh.
8. Conestoga (7) 27-4
The Pioneers won seven more games than they did last season. This season was highlighted by a state Class AAAA first-round victory against Harrisburg.
9. Pennsbury (8) 24-6
The Falcons were denied a second straight state Class AAAA semifinal appearance by Penn Wood.
10. Chester (6) 24-5
The Clippers experienced a un-Chesterlike second-round exit in the state Class AAAA playoffs.
