S. Jersey Girls: Perfect game highlights Gloucester's softball sweep

Jill Stafford, who struck out 12 in the opener, lost her shutout and no-hit bid on a fifth-inning RBI single by Karona Leatherberry. Tabby Dick's two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth ended Gloucester's 11-1 rout.

Chain fanned 14 and did not allow a baserunner in the nightcap, which Gloucester won, 16-0, in five innings. Dick and Brittany Dolson stroked solo home runs and Stafford contributed two hits and four RBIs.

Ashley Digerness batted 4 for 4 with five RBIs to back the two-hit pitching of Lindsay Snajkowski, as host Pennsville pounded out a 14-0 romp past Woodstown.

Cape-Atlantic. Junior Arielle Bruno reached 100 career hits with a single, a double, a triple, and four runs scored, powering host Sacred Heart past Our Lady of Mercy, 9-1.

Sarah Neuner hit a two-run homer, and winning pitcher Katie Hehre launched a three-run shot as host Holy Spirit crushed Cape May Tech, 14-1.

Colonial. Run-scoring singles by Brittany Feldman and Sam Leafy in the third inning - coupled with two-hit shutout pitching by Michelle Black - enabled West Deptford to edge visiting Audubon, 2-0.

Olympic. Jackie Leo and Shannon Hutchinson combined for four hits and three RBIs, and Alissa Schoelkopf fanned 17 in limiting Eastern to one hit as Washington Township prevailed, 4-0.

Macie McGeehan, Gabrielle Sapienza, and winning pitcher Jessica O'Hara teamed up to produce eight hits and 12 RBIs, paving the way for Bishop Eustace's 13-2 triumph over Winslow Township.

Burlington County. Colleen Hughes allowed one hit and one walk while going 2 for 2 at the plate, highlighting Delran's 4-0 home win over Cinnaminson.
