Tennis
St. Augustine freshman Matt Monroe teamed with sophomore Aiden Kay to rally for the Cape-Atlantic League doubles championship, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0, over Egg Harbor Township's Brian Miller and Igor Milov at Vineland.
The Hermits also won the singles competition as junior Chaz Berenato dominated a 6-1, 6-3 final over EHT's Keith Goldstein.
Baseball
Florence owns the Bear-Flash Cup for the next year after edging rival Delran, 5-4, in the annual event at Delran.
Ian Groover went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs for the Flashes, while the Bears, who outhit Florence by 10-6, got two doubles each by Shawn Ballay (two RBIs) and Dom DiFilippo.
Burlington County. Before playing Florence, Delran started the day with a 16-2 win over visiting Trenton Catholic. Tim Frederick had three hits and two RBIs in support of pitcher Tyler Socalis.
Marc Mount knocked in five runs, Don Strain doubled and tripled, and Riverside pitcher Dillon Neal fanned seven for his third win as the Rams posted their third straight win, 14-9, over visiting Burlington City.
Dan Dash's homer and Jared Turner's three hits led host Holy Cross' 11-1 win over Northern Burlington.
Olympic. Dan Hill scattered five hits and pitched a complete game in Cherry Hill West's 4-0 shutout at Lenape. Pat Moran gave the Lions three hits and two RBIs.
Tri-County. Cory Makos homered and finished with four RBIs, steering Woodstown past visiting Kingsway, 14-6. The Dragons' Dustin DeSimone doubled, tripled, and drove in three runs.
Cape-Atlantic. Juan Velazquez's two-run homer in the first inning started Sacred Heart's 15-3 success at Bridgeton.
