S. Jersey Girls: Favinger leads Ocean City to win
Gina Favinger did her best to keep Atlantic City off the scoreboard - allowing one run over nine innings - and dashed home on a bases-loaded pitch in the dirt with one out in the bottom of the ninth, giving host Ocean City a dramatic 2-1 Cape-Atlantic League softball win.

Favinger struck out 10 and scattered four singles and five walks to earn the victory. The Red Raiders erased a 1-0 deficit in the fourth inning, when Jessica Nesi tripled and scored on a single by Brooke Bugni.
Nesi and Bugni were on base when Favinger scored the winning run.
Burlington County. Natalie Vittese tossed a one-hitter and came through with two hits, including a two-run double that broke the game open in the fifth inning, leading host Holy Cross over Riverside, 8-1. The Lancers collected a dozen hits, with Stephanie Wood batting 3 for 3 with three runs scored.
Colleen Hughes, Lindsey Atzert, and Vanessa Hejnas combined for six hits, four RBIs, and three runs to key host Delran's 7-3 defeat of Burlington City.
Jessica Wood limited Cinnaminson to one hit and Amy Dziura contributed two singles, one run, and one RBI to make host Northern Burlington a 4-0 winner.
Tri-County. Caitlyn Hudock went 2 for 3 with three RBIs in support of Callie Emel's four-hit shutout pitching, sending host Salem past Woodstown, 6-0.
Nonleague. Arielle Bruno homered, doubled twice, drove in three runs, and scored three times in Sacred Heart's 11-1 rout of visiting Triton.
Clayton claimed a pair of home wins against different rivals, 8-3 over Pennsauken Tech and 12-2 over Lindenwold.
Track and Field
Willingboro swept the 400- and 800-meter relay events to highlight the second and final day of the 38th annual Rowan University Invitational. Camden claimed the super sprint medley, Winslow Township prevailed in the shuttle hurdles, Clearview captured the 3x400 hurdles, and Millville was the runner-up to Marlboro in the distance medley.
Lacrosse
Cherry Hill East received scoring from nine players, led by Caroline DiBartolomeo's four goals, and the Cougars raced out to a 10-0 first-half lead in routing host Kingsway, 17-4, in an Olympic Conference match.
Goalie Alexis Williams did what she could to keep the Dragons close, finishing with 31 saves.
