Pennridge's Erica Smale made the most of the short trip up Route 309 yesterday. The pitcher tossed her first career no-hitter and, for good measure, made it a perfect game in an 11-0 Suburban One Continental softball win at rival Quakertown.

Smale struck out nine of the 15 batters she faced.
Public. Adaya Thomas limited host Ben Franklin to just two hits in a 17-2 Public League win over visiting Parkway West.
Central. Christine Mattis pitched a two-hitter and struck out 10 for Upper Darby in a 13-0 win at Lower Merion.
Courtney Spina pitched a no-hitter for host Garnet Valley in a 5-0 win over Penncrest, striking out a season-high 17 in the process. She lost a shot at a perfect game with one out in the seventh inning, giving up a walk on a 3-2 count.
Suburban One American. Freshman Erika Miller pitched a no-hitter for Plymouth Whitemarsh in an 8-1 win over Upper Moreland.
Ches-Mont. Allison Frank and Joceyln Skrocki boosted host Great Valley in a 10-0 win over West Chester Rustin. Frank pitched a two-hitter, striking out seven, and Skrocki went 3 for 3.
Pioneer Athletic. Shannon Aguido was 4 for 4 to lead host Perkiomen Valley past Pottstown, 9-0. Tori Marcavage pitched a two-hit shutout.
Lexi Vaszily blasted two home runs for host Owen J. Roberts in a 7-6 win over Spring-Ford. Taylor Shultz also homered for the Wildcats (16-1, 16-1).
Bicentennial. Jocelyn Hickey threw a five-inning no-hitter for host Christopher Dock in a 14-0 win over MaST Charter.
Sophomore Katie Joyce, making her first varsity start, went 5 for 5 and scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth for host Methacton in a 6-5 win over Pottsgrove.
Catholic Academies. Amanda Fernandez pitched a five-inning two-hitter for her 13th win without a loss as Nazareth Academy thumped Villa Joseph Marie, 16-0. The Pandas are now 13-0 overall, 11-0 league, all games won by Fernandez.
Meg Gallagher pitched a two-hitter for St. Basil in an 11-1 win at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy.
Friends Schools. In a game played at Shipley due to field conditions at Friends Select, the host Gators thumped the Falcons, 11-1, as Lauren Touey pitched a one-hitter and struck out 14. Touey has now won both her starts. She struck out 14 and walked five.
