Jake Sprengle's two-run homer ignited a five-run outburst in the fourth inning, lifting Williamstown (17-2) to an 8-4 win over visiting Cumberland (14-2), sealing the Tri-County Conference Royal Division title.

Brandon Porter pitched 52/3 innings for the win, and Bill McCarty had a pair of doubles in the Braves' nine-hit attack.

Olympic. Cherokee (16-5) beat visiting Cherry Hill East (9-6) for the second time in three days, 17-4, to wrap up the American Division crown.

After the Chiefs fashioned an 11-run third inning, Jeff Long hit a two-run homer in the fourth, and Bill McGoey finished with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.

The Patriot Division trophy belongs to Cherry Hill West after a 10-0 shutout at Pennsauken. Kevin Bordner and Joe Calogero each hit two-run home runs.

Colonial. Nate Engle hit a grand slam, and Ryan Easterday went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs, fueling Haddon Township's 19-1 win at Lindenwold.

Cape-Atlantic. After giving up three runs in the top of the seventh, Lower Cape May rallied for four in the bottom of the inning and escaped with a 7-6 thriller over visiting Middle Township. Mike Mulligan and Zach Dunbar had run-scoring hits, John Benigno's sacrifice fly tied the score, and Dunbar scored the winning run on an error.

Atlantic City needed Frank Isgro's eighth-inning run on Jimmy VanDyke's single to edge host Oakcrest, 6-5.

Burlington County. Chris Liberatore's two doubles and three RBIs aided Burlington Township's 9-4 success at Florence.

Lacrosse

Josh Crego scored five goals, including the 100th of his career, guiding Ocean City past visiting Paul VI, 11-5. Crego, a senior who will attend York College, now has 101 career goals.
