Camden Catholic sophomore Caitlyn Brostrand discovered after the season that she had reached a coveted lacrosse milestone.
Brostrand has scored 101 career goals, five as a freshman and 96 in a breakout sophomore season. When this season ended, she was originally credited with 91 goals. But it was later discovered that one of her five-goal games was inadvertently recorded in the junior varsity book.
So, there was no ceremony to celebrate reaching the century mark because nobody knew she had done it. Then again, at the rate she is going, Camden Catholic may have to buy some celebratory balloons next season because Brostrand will be a threat to reach 200.
She was a varsity player in field hockey, in which she earned all-conference honors, and basketball. But as the corrected record book shows, Brostrand is quickly earning a reputation as a force in lacrosse.
