Bristol football coach George Gatto has one word to describe his powerful running back: game-breaker.
One of the top rushers in the area, Vorters has run for 3,467 yards in his career and is on course to break Dan Smyth's school record of 3,680 yards. Smyth graduated in 1996.
The senior finished with more than 1,600 of those yards last season when the Warriors went 6-6. He has scored 54 touchdowns in his career.
Despite his stats, colleges have not expressed that much interest in Vorters. One area high school football observer said that colleges are missing an opportunity to land a solid runner and that Vorters' height may be working against him.
"He's a very gifted athlete with a great work ethic," said Gatto. "He has a passion to play the game.
"He's blessed with speed, so he's a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He goes all-out all the time, and he's a very humble kid."
