Keep an Eye On: Terrell Chestnut

Pottsgrove, 6-1, 175, QB-DB

Every returning member of Pottsgrove's backfield is a player to watch, but this junior gets the nod as its leader and the league's reigning MVP.

Chestnut was named first-team all-state at defensive back in 2007, but last year he also played quarterback and rushed for 1,226 yards (7.5 yards per carry) and 21 touchdowns.

"He does it all," said Owen J. Roberts coach Tom Barr. "He can run, he can throw, and he makes good decisions."

He is already being recruited by Penn State, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Rutgers, and West Virginia, according to Scout.com. And Pottsgrove coach Rick Pennypacker believes Chestnut will receive 50 to 60 offers by the time the recruiting process concludes.

"Athletically, he's probably the best we've seen," Phoenixville coach Bill Furlong said. "We've only been at Phoenixville six years, but he's as good as anybody as far as an athlete and big-play potential."
