This season, the Patriots went 3-8 overall and 2-3 in the Ches-Mont League American Conference.
Phillips, a teacher at the school, confirmed the development but could not be reached for later comment.
West Catholic's Jake Zuzek, a two-way lineman, has orally committed to the United States Naval Academy.
