Sylvester drained a three pointer from the corner with 18 seconds left and gave Nazareth a 41-37 win over visiting Merion Mercy in a Catholic Academies girls' basketball game.

Sylvester's three gave the Pandas a 40-37 lead.

Brianna Ford picked up 14 points and helped Villa Maria get past host Villa Joseph Marie, 48-36.

Notre Dame spread the scoring around and tripped visiting Gwynedd-Mercy, 62-50.

Colleen Olinger scored 13 points for the Irish.

Central. Dana Albalancy scored 11 points to lead Lower Merion past host Garnet Valley, 26-23.

Ches-Mont. Naya Delancey's steal and layup at the start of overtime sparked Oxford to a 33-31 win over visiting Great Valley.

Delancey scored 7 points and Erica Marvel added 16 points for the Hornets.

Sam Wilson's layup with 30 seconds left gave Sun Valley a 43-39 win over host West Chester Rustin.

Wilson scored 10 points and Jenna Crowley added 15 points for the Vanguards.

Bicentennial. Freshman Maria Farrell had a big game and led Mast Charter past host Bristol, 33-30.

Farrell scored 11 points in the second half including all of the Panthers' points in the final quarter when they outpointed the Warriors, 7-2.

Jenkintown closed out its game with visiting Phil-Mont Christian with a 21-13 scoring effort and beat the Falcons, 39-29.

Carolyn Smith did the bulk of the scoring with 21 points for the Drakes.

Boys' Basketball

Southern pulled away in the third quarter and beat visiting Lincoln, 64-57, in a Public game.

Shamier Duren scored nine of his 12 points in the third quarter to spark the Rams and Shaquille Gaskins added 21 points.

Devin Uqdah collected 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Palumbo in a 69-30 win over visiting Science Leadership.

Central. Connor Walsh's free throw late in a second overtime period gave Radnor a 70-69 win over visiting Harriton.

Kyle Hammonds scored 24 points for the Red Raiders while Matt Fusaro scored 16 of his 48 points over both overtime periods for the Rams.

Cameron Gunter scored 12 points for Ridley in a 38-37 win over host Conestoga.

Wally Rutecki dropped in 23 points and led Springfield (Delaware County) past host Marple Newtown, 45-35.

Ches-Mont. Wes Pennington, a 6-9 center, missed just one of eight shots from the field and scored 15 points to lead Oxford past host Great Valley, 43-38.

Chas McCormick struck for 20 points and led West Chester Henderson past host Downingtown East, 65-63.

Bishop Shanahan got 18 points from Josh Redmond and beat host Avon Grove, 65-56.

Nonleague. Kirk Wynn sank three free throws with 2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, but William Boyer scored five of his 31 points in overtime to give Valley Forge a 71-67 victory over visiting George School.

Wrestling

Faith Christian brought back wrestling after an absence of 11 years in style with a 42-36 nonleague win over West-Mont Christian.

Coach Kyle Phipps was on that last Lions' wrestling team and watched Tim Peers pin in the last bout of the night at 140 pounds in 1:12 to secure the victory.
