Emily Brodsky's 17 points gave the Phoenix a hard-earned 41-35 win over Springside.

Friends' Central will play Germantown Academy tomorrow night (6 p.m.) at Montgomery County Community College.

In another first-round game, Kathleen Fitzpatrick hit five three-pointers and finished with 19 points to lead host Notre Dame past Shipley, 74-41, in a first-round game.

Public Class AA. In a quarterfinal game, host Imhotep Charter used a 21-9 third-quarter advantage to beat Strawberry Mansion, 52-48. Lakiesha Thomas scored eight of her 18 points in that quarter, giving the Panthers a 33-29 lead entering the final quarter.

Chikilra Goodman had 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals for host Bodine in a 34-30 win over Paul Robeson.

Host Freire Charter placed four of its five starters in double figures in a 69-27 win over Parkway. Yasmeen Thompson, who scored her 1,000th career point in the game, finished with 18 points to lead the Dragons.

Engineering and Science advanced with a 67-20 win over visiting Palumbo, getting 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals from Brittany Hrynko.

Public Class AAAA. In a quarterfinal, Najah Jacobs had 23 points, 10 assists and five steals for host Central in a 74-28 win over Dobbins.

Janaiah Elum scored 18 points and broke the press effectively to give host Northeast a 42-28 win over Girls High. Teammate Destiny Oxford added a season-high 10 points.

Host Frankford got 19 points from Dionne Harris, including her career 1000th, in a 70-43 win over Edison. Harris, a 5-10 forward, added 10 rebounds for the 17-1 Pioneers.

Public Class AAA. In a semifinal, Vernique Fields scored half of her team-high 20 points in the first quarter as host Franklin Learning Center outlasted West Philadelphia, 57-48.

In the other semifinal, Sydney Mallory had 20 points and 14 rebounds for host Prep Charter in its 67-17 win over Bok.

Bicentennial. Christopher Dock needed a 15-8 run in the final quarter to put away host Girard College, 35-28. The Pioneers did it mostly from the outside, getting three-pointers from Lauren Nederostek, Denali Althouse and Olivia Bradford. The Pioneers are now 20-2 overall, 16-0 league.

Stefania Incollingo, a 5-foot-11 junior center, scored only one point but played a major factor in Lower Moreland's 50-34 win at Bristol, getting 12 rebounds and blocking eight shots.

Tri-County. Nicole Davis scored 20 points for West-Mont Christian in its 42-25 win at Del-Val Friends.

Tysheira Maddox had 10 points and 18 rebounds for host Mercy Vocational in its 30-29 win over Barrack Hebrew. Maddox's field goal with 1:15 left won it.
