Mon. S.J. boys’ roundup: Brown leads Gloucester Catholic

Tri-County. Williamstown clinched its third straight Royal Division crown with an 11-2 win at Clearview. Jordan Rizzo drove in four runs - three with a homer - for the Braves.

Logan Fote tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts as visiting Delsea handed Highland a 2-0 setback.

Host Penns Grove exploded for 14 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 19-4 pasting of Glassboro. Jack Morrow led the way for the Red Devils by driving in five runs with two hits: a double and his seventh homer of the season.

Olympic. Seneca rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge Washington Township, 4-3. Gabe Santone drove in the deciding run with a two-out single. Ed Royds clubbed a two-run homer in a three-run third as visiting Shawnee blanked Winslow Township, 5-0. Nick Montefusco threw a five-hitter for the Renegades.

Cape-Atlantic. Andrew Mazzo singled in the fifth and eventually scored the winning run on a passed ball as host Atlantic City dealt Hammonton a 2-1 setback. Jimmy Van Dyke threw a one-hitter for Atlantic City.

Vaughn Champion drove in four runs with two hits as Absegami brushed off visiting Mainland, 9-2.

Nonleague. Senior John Chillem hit the first home run of his two-year varsity career as host Camden Catholic thumped Burlington City, 17-7.

Andrew Lisa slugged a game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the third, and Moorestown went on to post an 8-4 win over Oakcrest.

Nick Palmer had three hits, drove in two runs and stole two bases to lead host Wildwood past Wildwood Catholic, 7-3.

Boys' Tennis

Moorestown Friends' Jake Brown and Luke Timber pulled out a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Friends' Central's Tom Fakharzadev and Andrew Shoemaker to take the second-doubles title in the Friends Schools League tournament at Westtown (Pa.).

Golf

Tommy Hughes fired a 3-over-par 39 at Rancocas Country Club in Willingboro to lead Delran to a 163-171 victory over Holy Cross and the Burlington County League Freedom Division title. Connor Storz shot a 40 for Holy Cross.
