The Lions (28-2), who lost, 3-0, to St. Joseph in the 2009 sectional final, will face No. 2 seed Gloucester Catholic in the championship game on Tuesday at Sterling.

Kylie Kristovich outdueled the Seraphs' Jackie Nash, striking out nine and allowing five singles and no walks in fashioning her 14th shutout of the season. Kristovich extended her school single-season record with her 25th win.

Gloucester Catholic also is looking for redemption after falling, 2-1, to Bishop Ahr in last season's South Jersey Non-Public A championship.

The Rams earned their way into the title game by edging Holy Cross, 1-0.

Shayla Giosia scored in the first inning and Nicole Hagerty made the lead stand up, striking out eight while yielding four hits and no walks in blanking the third-seeded Lancers. Hagerty ended the game by fanning the final batter, stranding the potential tying run at third base.

South Jersey Group 1. Junior Emily Bausher enjoyed quite an afternoon in the circle and at the plate, as second-seeded New Egypt claimed the championship with a convincing 6-0 victory over No. 4 seed Pennsville.

Bausher batted 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and struck out 15 and did not issue a walk in posting a one-hit shutout.

The Warriors, who won the Central Jersey Group 1 championship last season, will meet Roselle Park in a state semifinal on Tuesday at Rancocas Valley.
