Schedule adjusted for city championship baseball games
If there's one staple of early June, it's schedule scrambling because of school issues. Exams, proms, baccalaureates, graduations and/or practices for 'em . . . you name it.

With that in mind, today's District 12 baseball affairs in AAAA, AAA and AA, featuring Catholic League kingpins vs. their Public League counterparts, will not take place as a tripleheader, as originally planned.
In AAAA, Monsignor Bonner and Central will do battle at 2:30 p.m. at La Salle High, in Wyndmoor, Montgomery County. Don't head for the field that sits right off Cheltenham Avenue. The new field, in its second year of existence, is way at the back end of the campus, hard by Route 309.
The AAA and AA games will unfold as a doubleheader at Richie Ashburn Field, in South Philly. The field is located at the south end of FDR Park, in the shadows of I-95 and across Broad Street from the Wachovia Center.
There, it will be Archbishop Wood vs. Franklin Towne Charter in AAA at 2:30, and Kennedy-Kenrick vs. Esperanza Academy Charter in AA at 5.
Of the six teams playing today, five will advance to next Monday's first rounds of the various PIAA state tournaments. The only nonqualifier: today's AAA loser.
There are no CL teams at the Class A level. Girard Academic Music Program has already captured the Pub A crown and will enter state play Monday. *
