Pa. Girls: Pennridge and C.B. West lose in state soccer playoffs

Pecht had the only goal of the first half, scoring in the final minute before intermission on an assist by Kelly Pizzingrilli. She made the score 2-0 with an unassisted goal in the 14th minute of the second half.

Pizzingrilli added an insurance goal two minutes later, putting the District 3 runners-up in the state quarterfinals on Friday.

Philadelphia-area teams struggled in the opening round, as Central Bucks West dropped a 3-1 verdict to District 3 champ Hershey in the second half of the doubleheader at HersheyPark Stadium. District 12 winner Central was beaten, 5-0, by Mechanicsburg at Northeast High.

State Class AA. York Suburban rolled past District 12 champion Masterman, 7-0, in a first-round game at Northeast.

Christopher Dock's season also ended with a 3-1 loss to West York, the third-place team from District 3, in a game at Northeastern. West York will face Saucon Valley in the quarterfinals.
