Jefferson, who helped the Phoenix win back-to-back Pennsylvania Independent Schools tournament titles the last two seasons, is part of the USA 2012 team that is taking on elite players from Africa, Asia, Europe and Canada in game through Monday in the adidas Nations 18-and-under competition at the Attack Athletics Center.
The third-place and championship games are scheduled to be televised live by CBS College Sports Network at 6 and 7:45 p.m., respectively on Monday.
Jefferson averaged 15.1 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and 1.8 assists per game last season and won the praise of Friends Central coach Jason Polykoff, who said the best is yet to come.
West Virginia, Penn State and Temple have already made offers to the frontcourt star, who plays AAU basketball for Team Philly.
