Wood 41, Carroll 7: Joey Monaghan passed 8-for-12 for 150 yards and the game's first two TDs, both to Colin Thompson (2-67). The Peoples cousins, Desmon (11-106, two) and Brandon (4-81), combined for three rushing scores while Desmon added three catches for 52 yards. Vince McAfee (9-52, TD) represented the backup unit. Carroll scored last on Julian Franklin's 21-yard run. Ryan Shea posted a pick.
INTER-AC LEAGUE
Penn Charter 29, Episcopal 6: John Loughery passed 12-for-17 for 248 yards and two TDs, one apiece to Deshawn Hollis-Baker and Kolonji Smith. Smith added two TDs and 167 yards on 33 carries.
Malvern 28, Gtn. Academy 7: Shawn Wilson ran for three TDs.
NONLEAGUE
Mastbaum 24, FitzSimons 0: Tyree Walker turned 13 carries into 95 yards and two scores and Tyree Stone-Davis passed 5-for-13 for 81 yards and a TD to his twin brother, Tyrin (2-41). Tyree and Sean Hubert halved four interceptions. For FitzSimons, Richard Williams managed 53 yards of rushing/passing and a pick.
Olney 16, Imhotep 6: Jaron "Snoop" Turner (11-67) and Erike Taggart (7-67) led in rushing, with the TDs going to Turner and Nasir Alston. Eerin Young (16-52) led Imhotep's rushers, with the score going to Corey Stroud.
Furness 32, Germantown 20: Maurice Harris had a hand in the first two TDs - 13-yard run, 29-yard pass to Kevin Hayes - and finished with four interceptions. Sharif Smith ran 25 times for 131 yards and one TD. Sirea Boone made 11 stops and blocked a punt. For Germantown, Willie Parks produced 169 yards of rushing/receiving while Ackeno Robertson ran 19 times for 114 yards and two scores.
Central 15, Univ. City 12: Dante Cobb passed 7-for-17 for 121 yards and a 55-yard TD to Marcus Brown and Hakeem Ellis notched a defensive TD with an end-zone fumble recovery. Dwayne Henry (10-64) and Rijah Harris (13-43) ran well, Richard Drayton made five catches for 60 yards and Shakor Cohen had a pick. For UC, Martin "Booca" Monroe rushed 25 times for 173 yards and two scores and notched a 47-yard fumble return in the late going to set up a 32-yard field goal try, which failed. Matthew Gilliam had two interceptions.
Overbrook 34, Southern 0: Two of James Johnson's three completions went for TDs (to Gregory Johnson, Charles Faust) and he ran for a score, as well. Faust opened the tilt with a TD on a 98-yard kickoff return. Siahnimah Kofa ran seven times for 121 yards and a score. Keon Sisco had a pick. Southern settled for 12 yards.
Del-Val 48, West Phila. 12: Keith Page passed 10-for-21 for 182 yards and three TDs, two to Brad Wilson (now holds the city career record with 28) and one to Heleaince Gates. Markeese Walker added 203 yards and three TDs on 23 carries. For West, Larry Richardson passed 5-for-9 for 149 yards and a TD to Eric "T.O." Leslie (3-126) and Joseph Southern returned a kickoff for an 80-yard tally.
