Greg Harvey has resigned as football coach at Lenape.

Lenape athletic director Tim Walsh said in a statement Wednesday that Harvey, the Indians' coach for the last eight seasons, had resigned to spend more time with his family.

"Greg Harvey's dedication to his players and Lenape High School are beyond reproach," Walsh said. "He leaves quite a legacy of loyalty and hard work on the field. We thank him for his service to the student-athletes of Lenape and wish him the best."

Harvey will remain at Lenape as a social-studies teacher.

Harvey's teams went 25-54 in his eight seasons. The Indians were 5-5 in 2006 and 2007.

Lenape went 4-6 in 2010. One highlight of the season was a 35-20 victory Nov. 5 over previously undefeated Paul VI, which had entered the West Jersey Football League inter-division game with a 7-0 record.
