S. Jersey Girls: Pemberton rallies past Northern Burlington

Champion scored 15 of her 26 points after intermission, when the Hornets overcame a six-point deficit.

Tempest Lewis contributed 10 points in the win, while the Greyhounds stayed close behind the scoring of Jackie Laurenti (12 points), Marissa Rivera (11), and Shelby Dunn (10).

In other Burlington County League action:

Melissa Tarte picked up 10 of her 27 points in the fourth quarter, allowing Cinnaminson to pull out a 42-35 victory at Riverside. Rams sharpshooter Shannon Rossi nailed four shots from beyond the arc to finish with 16 points, and Christine Caruso chipped in 13 points.

Bordentown outlasted host Moorestown, 43-41, in a back-and-forth battle. Emily Lawson's 14 points led all scorers and her Scotties teammates She'reva Mendenhall and Kelly Yanucil chipped in 11 points apiece. Stephanie Toy (12 points) and Erica Estevez (10) topped the scoring for the Quakers.

Jazlyn Johnson's 14 points paced a balanced attack that helped Holy Cross roll, 74-42, at Burlington City. Alliya Butts added 13 points and Ashli Jeune netted 11 while Kim Ochman and Amanda Offenback chipped in 10 points each for the Lancers. Courtney Davis had a game-high 18 points for the Blue Devils.

Cape-Atlantic. Jade Howard capped her 19-point effort by scoring nine in the fourth quarter, sealing St. Joseph's 39-29 triumph at Buena. Janay Smith's 11 points led the Chiefs.

Amber Knox led all scorers with 15 points, with Sahara Lopez (11 points) and DeAja Reynolds each chipping in four steals and three assists to help host Atlantic City swamp Hammonton, 52-19.

Sophomore point guard Selena Santiago totaled 17 points, four steals, and four assists in guiding host Egg Harbor Township over Oakcrest, 62-23. Senior forward Rachael Scheiter came through with 13 points and seven rebounds for the undefeated Eagles.

Mainland received 15 points from Nicole Nardi and 13 from Amy Macaluso in posting a 57-33 victory at Millville. Courtney Nock's 13 points carried Millville.

Nonleague. Meghan Nowak connected on four three-point shots in scoring 31 and Alisha Fox added 13 points, as Gateway pounded host Pennsville, 50-32.

Maddie Kiep and Erin Brogan (nine points apiece) combined to score 16 in a game-opening 31-0 burst, paving the way for host Haddonfield's 61-6 rout of LEAP Academy Charter. The Bulldogs received scoring from 11 players, including nine points from Cat Senopoulos.

Shereessa Richards (14 points), Morgan Jones (12), and Kaylee Breunig (11) powered Atlantic Christian past host Pleasantville, 69-15.
