The Lions (6-2) overcame the German team's height advantage to win the bracket title, 56-43, at Bishop Verot High.

Facing a team that had a 7-footer and six other players over 6-8, the Lions got 16 points and eight rebounds from 6-6 forward Savon Goodman. Malcolm Gilbert and Rakeem Christmas each added 10 points for the Lions.

Public. Bryon Whiting's running jump shot at the buzzer gave Prep Charter a 44-42 win at Del-Val Charter. The Huskies were paced by Mark Wilmer's 15 points.

Franklin Towne Charter got its first win of the season, 34-33, holding off a furious Franklin Learning Center rally in the fourth quarter to win. A 17-3 run helped the Bobcats draw even at 33-33, but Jammall Dawkins hit 1 of 2 free throws for the final margin.

Maurice Wiltbanks' 20 points and 11 assists lifted Audenried to a 78-64 win at Philadelphia Academy Charter.

At Ben Franklin, Constitution got 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots from 6-8 center Erik Raleigh in a 75-58 win over World Communications.

Keith Washington's two free throws with 26 seconds left gave Frankford a four-point lead in a 47-45 win over visiting Overbrook. Taylor Beswick had 11 rebounds to lead the Pioneers.

James Jefferson had 21 points for Sankofa Freedom in a 63-53 win at Douglas. Troy Smith had four three-pointers for Douglas.

Sharif Saunders had all three of his three-pointers in the first quarter to get host Ben Franklin off to a good start in a 59-42 win over West Philadelphia. Darien Walker also had three three-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead the Electrons.

Andrew Moye had half of his 22 points in the first quarter for Simon Gratz in an 84-46 win at Olney.

Jerrell Wright had 16 points and three blocked shots for Dobbins in a 56-54 win at Roxborough.

Shawn Drayton had 14 points for host High School of the Future in a 61-57 win over Masterman.

Marcellus Johnson's two free throws with 25 seconds left gave Kensington a two-possession lead in a 47-45 win over visiting Northeast. Bruce White led the Tigers with 25 points and eight rebounds.

Ikeal Johnson's 18 points powered Elverson to a 56-36 win at Rush.

Tobias Stokes hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime and his GAMP teammates hit five free throws in the extra session to earn a 58-56 win over visiting Paul Robeson. Stokes finished with 23 points.

University City got 15 points from Martez Lyles in a 64-38 win at Mastery Charter South.

The Mighty Elephants (5-1 overall, 3-0 league) also got 10 points and seven rebounds from Jeremiah Worthem.

Vasil Malik scored 11 of his 13 points in the first quarter as Communications Tech won at Sayre, 69-25.

Nadir Matthews had 32 points for host Bodine in a 59-46 win over Science Leadership.

The Ambassadors also dominated the backboards, thanks to 10 rebounds apiece from Samad Drayton and Sahlil Harris.

Demetrius Davenport hit four three-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead host Palumbo past Esperanza, 54-52. Davenport made a layup with 10 seconds for a 54-50 lead.

Ronald Rollins scored five of his 17 points in the final quarter to power host Lincoln past Martin Luther King, 59-50. Michael Bowlers had five blocked shots for the Railsplitters.

Josh Collins had 12 points and nine rebounds for Saul in a 62-36 win over visiting CAPA.

Lamberton placed four starters in double figures, led by Anthony Fagan's 15 points, in a 65-52 win over visiting Parkway West.

Nonleague. Alex Agyedu's steal and layup with 40 seconds left gave Bensalem a four-point lead and the Owls hung on to beat visiting Glen Mills, 53-52.
