S. Jersey Boys: Eustace rally shocks Cherry Hill East

East, ranked No. 8 in South Jersey by The Inquirer, broke on top, 41-28, at intermission. But Chris Santo, who finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds, fouled out with the game tied with 1 minute, 15 seconds left.

Puriefoy hit a pair of threes in a 23-point performance, and Sho DaSilva chipped in with 18 points.

Also in the Olympic, Shawnee knocked off host Seneca, 67-50, with Joe Bodnar's 31-point game in which he connected on eight three-point baskets.

Triton's Dominic Scafidi tied the game in regulation on a put-back with 45 seconds left, but host Woodrow Wilson prevailed in overtime, 88-82. Xavier Robinson, a 6-foot-4 senior center, scored eight of his 26 points in the extra period.

Tri-County. Clayton won a thriller, edging visiting Schalick, 75-73, when Dan Reed tipped in a missed layup by Christian Klumpp with four seconds to play. Down by 16 after one period, Schalick rallied with Kyle Philo's (29) 12 points in a 34-15 third quarter.

Dave Summerton hit two of his seven three-point baskets in overtime, allowing Clearview to escape with a 60-52 thriller at Highland. The Tartans' Tyree Brown, a 6-foot-3 swingman, collected 20 rebounds and tied the game at the end of regulation with a three-point play.

Center Ryan Schoppy combined 13 points with 10 rebounds and guard Mike Okafor grabbed nine boards while guiding Gloucester Catholic past visiting Glassboro, 55-35.

Dylan Colgate piled up a career-best 31 points and also hauled in 20 rebounds, Luke Dickson scored 22 points, and Joe Kelly added 10 rebounds for Pitman in a 67-48 victory at Wildwood.

Delsea's Cedric Elleby registered a double-double of 12 points and 20 rebounds, and also blocked four shots in a 55-51 win over visiting Cumberland.

Burlington County. Danny Rodriguez scored 23 points over the two middle periods on his way to a 29-point game, guiding Burlington Township past visiting Delran, 70-51.

Nonleague. Overbrook got a hot start as James Bullock nailed six treys in the first quarter, leading to a 79-50 win at Audubon. Bullock finished with 28 points and the Rams had 11 threes.

Wrestling

Bordentown swept five weight classes from Shawn Gavin's decision at 145 pounds to Matt Bauer's 10-0 major decision at 215 to account for 25 of Bordentown's points in a 40-24 Burlington County League win over visiting Rancocas Valley.

Willingboro's 53-24 win over visiting Pemberton featured a technical fall from Tyler Scotton (140), and 8-6 decision by Glenn Wallace (145) over the Hornets' Freddy Gomez.

Cape-Atlantic. Coley O'Brien secured a 15-0 technical fall in the opening bout at 130 pounds, and Dan Pettit (140) and Kevin Day (171) notched first-minute pins as Ocean City topped host Millville, 45-30.

Nonleague. Paulsboro dealt visiting Oakcrest a 52-14 setback behind close decisions by Jovanni Arroyo (119) and Ryan Dick (171). heavyweight Nick Curl hurried to a 25-second pin.

Mainland got first-period pins by Eric Lands at 135 and Brendan O'Hara at 140, and capitalized on four forfeits to beat visiting Bishop Eustace, 46-33.
