S. Jersey Girls: Woodstown takes down Penns Grove in overtime

Wolverines senior Lauren Husser posted her third consecutive double-double, finishing with 18 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots.

Kianje Pollard (19 points) and Smith (13) led Penns Grove, which scored the first seven points of overtime.

In other Tri-County Conference action:

Taylor Johnson of Kingsway was the game's lone double-figure scorer with 11 points, and Heather Juhring (eight points) buried a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter to put the Dragons ahead to stay in a 33-31 victory at Williamstown.

Cori Conner totaled 23 points and 10 rebounds and Gabrielle Cooper chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds for host Gloucester, which improved to 3-0 by slipping past Salem, 45-39. Shaqui Coppage's 21 points led the Rams.

Gloucester Catholic picked up its third win of the season in dominant fashion, running out to a 21-1 lead in crushing host Glassboro, 48-19. Alex Balara tossed in 20 points for the Rams.

Sophomore guard Megan Carchidi pulled Clearview even on a corner jumper with six seconds left in regulation, Highland and Liz Looby (15 points) prevailed in overtime to give the visiting Tartans a 43-41 triumph. Pioneers junior forward Paige Settar produced 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Jackie Short scored 14 of her 20 points in a 22-6 second-quarter run that paved the way for Delsea's 57-32 romp at Cumberland.

Olympic. Shanice Maynard (22 points) and Chenelle Perry (20) had the hot hands for Woodrow Wilson in a 69-42 rout at Triton.

Eastern outscored Pennsauken, 28-16, over the final two quarters to pull out a 49-42 road win. Amy Solinski (16 points) had the hot hand for the Vikings.

Brittany Snow's 24-point effort enabled Seneca to shake off a cold start and claim a 50-42 win at Shawnee.

Burlington County. Taylor Umbrell picked up eight of her 11 points in sparking Delran's 14-2 start, and Aliyah Murray fashioned a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds as the host Bears held off Burlington Township, 41-34.

Vocational Tournament. Westampton Tech made 10 three-pointers and shot 54 percent from the floor in rolling over visiting Medford Tech, 66-13.

All-tournament picks Dionna Tunstall (18 points), Rebecca Hall (11), Danielle Owes (nine) and Alyssa Russell (eight) keyed Westampton's 34-1 game-opening blitz.

Nonleague. Kelcie Evans had a game-high 22 points for Moorestown Friends, but host Palmyra used a strong second half to pull out a 45-39 victory.
