Here's a closer look at the players named to the first-team offense on The Inquirer's All-Southeastern Pennsylvania football team.

Linemen

Dave Bowen, Radnor. A lot of the Red Raiders' running plays went behind this late bloomer. Bowen is ticketed for Boston College.

J.J. Denman, Pennsbury. With his muscle and nasty streak, Denman has landed four Division I-A scholarship offers.

Chase Hoyt, West Chester Rustin. Strong and versatile, Hoyt is fielding offers from Monmouth, Stony Brook, and Towson.

Will Kye, North Penn. Kye did a solid job of opening holes for 1,000-yard rushers Craig Needhammer and Dom Taggart.

Frank Taylor, Archbishop Wood. Behind the rising junior, who bench-presses 325 pounds and squats 350, the Vikings averaged 36.5 points.

Quarterback

Ryan Laughlin, Cardinal O'Hara. Strong-armed and accurate, Laughlin threw for 1,564 yards and 17 touchdowns in 10 outings.

Running backs

Ryan Brumfield, Owen J. Roberts. With 2,844 yards this season, Brumfield finished as the state's No. 2 all-time rusher (8,595).

Matt Craig, Springfield (Delco). Quick and elusive, Craig netted 2,013 yards and 35 TDs. He averaged 8.8 yards per carry.

Drew Harris, Downingtown East. In sparking the Cougars to a 10-3 record, he rushed 246 times for 1,930 yards and 27 TDs.

Rashaad Williams, Central Bucks West. With his vision and open-field moves, Williams racked up 2,056 yards and 20 TDs.

Tight end

Colin Thompson, Archbishop Wood. A standout on both sides of the ball, Thompson has offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, and Rutgers.

Wide receivers

Dexter Bridge, Conestoga. Bridge, defended tightly on every play, made an area-best 55 catches for 746 yards and 12 TDs.

Dion Shaw, Ridley. Shaw, who had 27 catches for 508 yards and four scores, also stood out as a cornerback and kick returner.

All-purpose

Jamal Abdur-Rahman, La Salle. The Villanova recruit, also a stellar cornerback and return man, rushed for 1,755 yards and 24 TDs.

Desmon Peoples, Archbishop Wood. Before going down with a foot injury, Peoples gained 1,349 yards and posted 25 TDs.

Kicker

Ben Solis, Council Rock South. Also a punter, he drilled six field goals, including a 37-yarder, and converted 45 of 49 extra-point tries.
