Tues. S.J. boys’ roundup: Pitman tops Penns Grove

Dickson scored 18 points and dished out 11 assists, while Colgate collected 23 points and 21 rebounds for Pitman (8-1), the Classic Division leader that started fast with a 31-20 halftime lead.

Alex Matchett (11 points) and Joe Kelly (10), who snagged seven boards, also reached double figures for the Panthers, ranked No. 10 in South Jersey by The Inquirer. Diamond Division leader Penns Grove (8-2) got 25 points from Ge'Shawn Davis.

Also in the Tri-County, Delsea's Cedric Elleby dominated a 65-53 win at Schalick with 19 points, 17 rebounds, 5 blocked shots, 3 steals and 3 assists.

Wildwood sophomore Francis Christian narrowly missed a triple-double, finishing a 77-70 win over visiting GCIT with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The Warriors trailed by four after three periods, but Kyle Brown made 5 of 6 fourth-quarter foul shots, and Zak Barrett finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Gloucester defeated visiting Woodstown, 49-43, behind Stefano Okoro's 20 points, Michael Gorman's 15 points and six rebounds, and Tajee Almon's eight boards.

Olympic. Camden's second straight win was a 67-52 success over visiting Seneca in which 6-foot-4 senior Ajwan Leaming grabbed a dozen rebounds, and Jerome Randall scored all of his 15 points on five threes, giving him 12 in two days.

Cherry Hill East's Marc Schlessel (15) hit a three-pointer to break a tie with 3 minutes left and put the Cougars ahead for good in a 58-52 win over visiting Eastern. Chris Santo had 32 points on 9-for-18 marksmanship from two-point range, 2-for-2 on three-pointers and 8-for-8 on foul shots.

Lenape's defense held visiting Cherokee scoreless in the first quarter of a 44-28 win. Will Kelly's 14 points and Jeff Dinich's 13 sparked the offense.

Winslow Township extended host Shawnee's losing skid to four games, 66-60, as Stephen Jones (25) made five threes, and the Eagles converted 22 of 35 free throws to the Renegades' 19 of 28.

Dominic Scafidi poured in 36 points and Dylan Daniluk added 19 to fuel a 75-52 win at Timber Creek.

Burlington County. Down by a point at halftime, ninth-ranked Cinnaminson rallied behind Max DiLeo's 32 points and Napolean Blamon's 20 to beat host Northern Burlington, 65-57.

Willingboro spotted host Pemberton a 24-20 halftime lead before Mike Owens (11), Noah Taylor (11) and Dominoc Cain (10) rallied the Chimeras to a 60-55 win.

Tariq Jett's 15 points and Kalee Marshall's 13 topped 11 Rancocas Valley scorers in a 59-41 victory over visiting Moorestown.

Westampton Tech's James Trouttman had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals, but visiting Trenton Catholic held the top spot in the Liberty Division with a 56-47 win.

Colonial. Collingswood's Karon Waller (21) and B. J. Jones (16) offset a 30-point game by Audubon's T. J. Tassi and guided the host Panthers to a 73-58 win. Waller added four rebounds and Jones had four assists.

Juwan Alfrod made two of three late foul shots to keep Paulsboro in front of visiting West Deptford for a 55-53 win. Xavier Lundy contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Cape-Atlantic. Ocean City scored the last five points of the game, including a three-pointer by Chris Turner (30) with 13 seconds left and Tom Dallezzi's two foul shots with 1.5 seconds to go, stunning visiting Millville, 68-67.

Lower Cape May's Brandon Pascucci, who had seven points at halftime, scored 16 of his team's 24 second-half points, sealing a 48-43 triumph at Egg Harbor Township.

Senior forward Daulton Sterling scored a season-high 24 points to go with 10 rebounds, four steals and three charges taken, driving Vineland to its fourth straight win, 61-49, over visiting Absegami.
