Matthews forced overtime with a layup, then knocked down a three-pointer in the extra period to give the Ambassadors a 62-59 win over visiting High School of the Future in a Public League Division D game.

Matthews, who scored 39 points, converted a driving layup with three seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

With the buzzer about to sound at the end of overtime and the score tied, Matthews drained a pull-up three pointer off a pass from Samad Drayton, who stripped the ball to set up the play for Bodine (6-14 overall, 6-5 league). Marquis Amey scored 30 points for the Firebirds (9-9, 6-5).

Anthony Harris drained a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining and secured Mastbaum's 51-50 win over visiting Franklin Towne Charter. Eric Jarvis added 27 points for the Panthers.

LaQuan Alston's layup with two seconds left boosted Freire Charter to a 63-61 win over host Strawberry Mansion. Jahyde Gardiner scored 19 points for the Dragons.

Del-Val. For the second time in 10 days, a Chester player scored his 1,000th career point.

DeQuann Walker reached the milestone with 37 seconds left in the game as the Clippers trounced visiting Chichester, 109-42. Walker scored 19 points and is the 26th Chester boys' player to reach 1,000 points.

Aaron Brown chipped in with 23 points and led Penn Wood to a 58-48 win over host Glen Mills.

Pioneer Athletic. Dawon Matthews connected for 14 points and helped Pottstown beat host Phoenixville, 68-64.

Tri-County. Barrack Hebrew overcame a 37-27 deficit in the fourth quarter and beat host Kimberton Waldorf, 48-42. Dan Gabbay scored 13 points for the Cougars.

Nonleague. Michael Chen's free throw with nine seconds left gave Calvary Baptist a 67-66 win over host Friends Select. Travis Clemens scored 26 points for the Lions while Ben Holl converted eight three-pointers and scored 26 points for the Falcons.

Phil Walker picked up 15 points as Solebury School beat visiting Hun School (N.J.), 46-43.
