Paro scored with four minutes left in overtime and handed the Pioneers a 2-1 win over the Red Raiders for the Central League title at Iceline in West Chester Friday.
Conestoga and Radnor had split a pair of games and tied two others before the Pioneers beat the Red Raiders in double overtime on Thursday and in overtime Friday. Conestoga came into the tournament as the No. 4 seed.
Flyers Cup. Tom Kane's goal with 6:34 left in the third period turned out to be the game-winner as Malvern Prep edged Holy Ghost Prep, 3-2, in a Class AAA semifinal at Hatfield Ice.
In the other semifinal, La Salle got past Father Judge, 3-2, and will meet Malvern Prep for the title on Monday.
Basketball
Catholic League champion Neumann-Goretti grabbed a 33-23 lead in the first half and downed Philadelphia Electrical, 62-54, to claim the District 12 Class AAA title at Archbishop Ryan.
The Saints (22-4) will play the No. 6 seed from District 3 in the first round of the PIAA Class AAA tournament on March 11 and the Chargers (22-5) open against either Pope John Paul II or Bishop Shanahan.
John Davis paced Neumann-Goretti with 18 points.
District 1 Class AAAA. Jaylen Bond and Ryan Arcidiacono will be facing each other at least twice a year when they begin playing college basketball. Fans who won't be able to see them in person in the Big East got a preview performance Friday at Plymouth Whitemarsh.
Bond scored 25 points and led host Plymouth Whitemarsh past visiting Neshaminy, 67-61, in the third-place game.
With the win, Plymouth Whitemarsh (22-5) earned the right to play the No. 5 seed from District 3 while the Redskins (21-6) will play the No. 3 seed from District 11. Both games will be in District 1 on March 12.
Bond, who will play at the University of Pittsburgh, scored 12 points in the third quarter and grabbed eight rebounds.
Arcidiacono, a Villanova signee, collected four three-pointers and accounted for 26 points.
Plymouth Whitemarsh grabbed a 31-22 halftime lead and held off Neshaminy in the second half.
In the fifth-place game, Anthony Nash came through with 22 points and led West Chester Rustin past visiting Lower Merion, 63-52.
The Golden Knights (24-4) will open the state tournament on March 12 on the road against the No. 3 seed from District 3 while the Aces (18-9) will travel to play the champion of either District 2 or District 4.
Nash scored 14 points in the second half and Cory Blake added 15 of his 17points in the second half for Rustin.
Lower Merion got 11 points from Raheem Hall.
In the seventh-place game at Norristown, the host Eagles dropped Bensalem, 48-34.
Norristown (21-5) will travel to play the District 11 champion while the Owls (19-8) will travel to Philadelphia to play either La Salle or Frankford in the opening round of the state tournament on March 12.
Rasheed Johnson led the Eagles with 11 points, including eight points down the stretch.
Leo Vincent scored 12 points for Bensalem.
In the ninth-place game at Council Rock South, Aaron Brown scored 13 points, and Darian Barnes notched all 12 of his points in the second half as Penn Wood eased past North Penn, 47-27.
The Patriots (19-8) will open the state tournament with a play-in game on March 8 against the District 2 runner-up.
The Knights got 11 points from Wes Brooks.
District 1 Class A. Godfrey Baldez contributed 15 points and led Phil-Mont Christian past Girard College, 40-37, in the third-place game at Wissahickon.
The Falcons (18-9) will travel to Philadelphia to play District 12 champion Constitution on March 11, and the Cavaliers (12-14) were eliminated.

Conor Myers of Pope John Paul II earned a pin in a quarterfinal bout at 152 pounds at the PIAA Southeast Class AA Regional at Wilson-West Lawn.
Myers won his quarterfinal bout at 152 pounds, pinning Bryce Mullen of Newport in 3 minutes, 57 seconds.
